West Ham United have revealed details of the hospitality offering set to be available at the Olympic Stadium, the club’s new home from 2016, as well as announcing a new UK gaming and betting partner.
Under the new ‘Club London’ banner, the Barclays Premier League club unveiled a number of hospitality options, with the BM6 – an invitation only club named after club legend Bobby Moore – as well as 16 private executive boxes for up to ten guests; Arnold Hills, a private dining club; and The Royal East, a ‘chic and elegant’ contemporary lounge, according to the club.
West Ham secured tenancy earlier this year for the Olympic Stadium, currently being renovated ahead of the club’s move for the 2016/17 season, taking a 99-year lease.
The club will pay around £2 million a year in rent, with the British government stumping up around £60 million of the £150-190 million renovation project at a venue originally built for athletics.
As part of the offering, the club has appointed IO-Media, a CGI specialist, to create a virtual venue that allows fans to examine sightline and seating positions before selecting their seat.
Karren Brady, West Ham’s vice chairman, said: ‘We have been inundated with interest in these new hospitality areas and I am pleased to report that we have already sold more than a third of our executive boxes before the new Reservation Centre has even launched.’
‘This is an incredibly exciting milestone for us as it is the first announcement on the way to revealing all of our world-class plans for the new stadium. The details released today show that we have been true to our word, in that the new-look Stadium will look and feel like West Ham’s home.’
Meanwhile, the club also confirmed details of a new partnership with UK gaming and betting company winner.com, who comes on board as the team’s official betting and casino partner.
As part of the new deal, the sports betting operator will receive coverage across the club’s online inventory, magazines and LED boards on match days.
