Swiss-founded British luxury services company, Wheely has inked partnership with the 2024 DP World Tour Championship.


Wheely is set to become an official supplier for the last tournament on the DP World Tour, which will be at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai from the 14th-17th November.

Included within this deal, the company will offer live and pre-scheduled chauffeuring services.

Spectators will be able to book these services via the Wheely app, with multiple fare classes available, including Business, First, and XL.

For a premium experience, Wheely guests will benefit from a dedicated pickup and drop-off point at the Jumeirah Golf Estates Clubhouse entrance.

Tom Philips, Middle East Director at the DP World Tour, said, “By partnering with Wheely, we can further enhance the services that we offer our spectators when visiting the DP World Tour Championship.

“We pride ourselves on providing a first-class experience when on site, and with Wheely, we can now extend this to and from their front door.”


BBC Sport has been confirmed as the UK broadcast partner for the Netball Horizon Series between the England and Jamaica.

The series is set to take place on the 16th and 17th November at the AO Arena in Manchester with the second leg to be held on the 25th and 26th November in Kingston, Jamaica. Both home and away matchups will be shown free-to-air across BBC TV, BBC iPlayer and online. 

This broadcast partnership has built on the historic media rights deal through which, in 2024, fans have been able to watch the Netball Super League, the UK’s elite domestic netball league, live on both Sky Sports and BBC Sport.

Fran Connolly, CEO of England Netball, said, “We are delighted to be working with BBC Sport in the inaugural year of the Vitality Netball Horizon Series.

“ The opportunity to show elite international netball free-to-air will elevate the visibility of our sport, allowing many more viewers to enjoy the fast-paced entertainment that we know a clash between the Vitality Roses and the Jamaica Sunshine Girls will provide.


UCFB and International Sports Convention (ISC) have committed to launch professional network booster for international sports management students.

This booster has been designed to enhance professional connections and industry insights, and will be available to all students enrolling in the MSc International Sports Management course from January 2025.

Jane Abbey, International Sports Management Course Leader at UCFB said, “This partnership with ISC is a significant step forward in enriching the learning experience for our students.

Simon Gillham has been appointed Chair of Tier 2 Board of RFU

This new Tier 2 board is responsible for driving the growth of the second men’s rugby union game in England.


Included within the transformation of the men’s professional game, the RFU, Championship Club Committee and Premiership Rugby have been working to develop a reimagined Tier 2.  With the objective of creating a second tier that supports the English Rugby system by developing young English talent, whilst supporting the clubs to become financially sustainable.


Gillham has previously spent over 20 years in French professional rugby and in June 2024, he stepped down from his ex-role as President of Brive and is currently Vice President.

Alongside, a career spent in professional rugby, he has previously worked on the Vivendi Management Board, Chairman of Vivendi Village and EVP of Communications for Vivendi

He has also been involved in many sponsorship deals including Vivendi with the Rugby World Cup 2023 and with major international brands for Brive. Additionally, Gillham has been involved in all the Canal+ and LNR TV agreements for the last 15 years.

“I am delighted to have been appointed as Chair of the Tier 2 Board. We must now build on the existing positives and work with the RFU, Premiership Rugby, the RPA and all the English rugby clubs to raise the standards further. I can’t wait to get going.” Simon Gillham said.
