Aston Villa has announced sports betting brand William Hill as the club’s new official in-stadium betting partner.

The agreement covers the next two seasons and will see William Hill offering betting facilities inside the Premier League club’s 43,00-capacity Villa Park stadium.

The partnership will also give Villa supporters the chance to take advantage of exclusive offers and promotions from William Hill, including access to match tickets and club merchandise.

Scottish football club Celtic FC has announced Goal App Japan as its new Celtic Soccer Academy partner in Japan.

The deal will see Celtic Soccer Academy work exclusively with Goal App Japan to deliver football coaching camps in a variety of locations across Japan. 

Initially, Goal App Japan – which manages the language learning of the app and provision of the platform in Asian markets as well as soccer school management, sports events and marketing in Japan – will work in partnership with Celtic Soccer Academy to deliver three coaching camps in spring, 2023.

These camps will be held in Tokyo, Fukuoka and Hiroshima with each camp running for three days and they are open to both boys and girls between the ages of seven and 12-years-old.

National League TV, an OTT platform for English football’s fifth division, has appointed UK-based OTT technology provider StreamAMG as one of the companies to deliver the new online video platform.

An agreement was recently signed off between the National League and its broadcast partner, BT Sport, for non-televised matches to be available for fans to stream live on the new platform with all matches available internationally. The platform was launched formally ahead of the full round of fixtures on 26th December 2022.

StreamAMG were selected alongside digital agency Other Media and live production specialists, 247.tv, to develop and deliver the platform.

Premier League football club AFC Bournemouth has announced the appointment of Jim Frevola as the club’s first President of Business.

Arriving from the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning where he served as Chief Commercial Officer, Jim will assume responsibility for the business operations units of the club.

Jim will be responsible for ‘driving all revenues within the club, expanding the club’s community presence and fan base locally and regionally, and helping increase the globalisation of the AFC Bournemouth brand around the world.’

The Cherries was taken over by a consortium led by Las Vegas-based businessman Bill Foley in December.

Premier League football club Manchester United has appointed established legal figure Patrick Stewart to its PLC board of directors.

Stewart has a long-standing association with United dating back 16 years. During that time, he has served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel.

His latest position at Old Trafford will involve managing the company’s legal and regulatory affairs as well as creating, establishing and maintaining relationships with football stakeholders.
