Wiggins Joins Xix Entertainment

XIX Entertainment, the management firm whose portfolio includes David Beckham and Andy Murray, has added Tour de France winner and Olympic Gold medallist Bradley Wiggins to its roster.

The agency is run by Simon Fuller and the new deal marks the end of Wiggins’ previous agreement with management company MTC.

Wiggins is aiming to make his Tour de France return at the 2014 edition of the race which will begin in Yorshire, he is also said to be considering taking part in the Rio 2016 for Team GB.

Wiggins said of the new agreement ‘I am proud of my career to date but still feel there is much to accomplish, both personally and for cycling as a whole. I know Simon and his team are the best people to help me do that.’

Fuller added: ‘Bradley is an inspiring man of the people, who has endeared himself to followers worldwide through the scale and manner of his success. He enjoys both an extraordinary past and a clear and ambitious view of the future through to Rio and beyond. We are thrilled to be partnering him at this exciting time for him and the sport.’

A statement from XIX Entertainment read: ‘The new partnership aims to take advantage of the growth in global cycling participation and Wiggins’ own unique position as one of the sport’s most successful figures, to create innovative business opportunities worldwide.’
