Bradley Wiggins, the Olympian and Team Sky rider, has secured a new clothing deal with fashion brand Fred Perry.
Wiggins has signed a six-season deal with Fred Perry that will see him collaborate with the brand on a clothing collection, inspired by Wiggins’ ‘mod’ leanings. Cycling jerseys were standard mod-attire during the early 1960s.
‘I have been a lifelong fan of the brand, stemming from my following and commitment to the mod movement and what I believe is Fred Perry’s unparalleled relationship with subculture,’ said Wiggins.
‘My goal has been to develop an authentic, non technical range of off cycle wear that is inspired by the best of the sport’s unique heritage – something I am hugely passionate about. Fred Perry offered me that opportunity.’
Initially, the collaboration will launch with one cotton pique, zip neck shirt style in three colourways available through Fred Perry shops globally from the summer.
