England rugby star Jonny Wilkinson is one of a host of celebrities appearing in
a new advertising campaign to promote awareness of brain cancer charity the
Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.
The multi-media campaign, which marks the 10th anniversary of the charity,
shows the SDBTT’s patrons including Wilkinson in head on shots against each
other, emphasising the ability to tackle brain cancer head on.
Other celebrities featured in the campaign include Dawn French, Fiona
Fullerton and Earl Spencer.
The campaign, produced by integrated agency catchpole&friends and ethical
PR firm Bluebear, draws attention to some of the key symptoms of brain cancer
with a fundraising call-to-action at every stage.
The activity coincides with an event at the House of Commons, PR activity and
tea parties nationwide.
SDBTT was set up 10 years ago to raise funds for research and patient support
and is now the UK’s leading fund raiser of laboratory-based brain tumour
research, aiming to raise an extra £1m in 2007.
