The Williams F1 team has officially been put up for flotation on the Frankfurt stock market in a public offering.
Despite the flotation, Sir Frank Williams will remain in charge as team principal and majority shareholder.??
The first day of trading for the team’s shares will begin in early March, with public offerings in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.??
The offering will consist of up to 27.39% of existing shares for a team that has slipped in recent years, finishing sixth in last years constructors championship. ??
The team last won a race back in 2004, but last season Nico Hulkenberg earned Williams their first pole position for five years.
