After playing each other in the Wimbledon Final over a month ago, the Williams sisters are still making headlines, as they have now been reported to be in talks to become part-owners of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.

Serena Williams confirmed that preliminary talks have occurred, and if they do acquire a stake in the team, she and her sister will join musicians Jimmy Buffet and Gloria and Emilio Estefan, who became minority partners in the Dolphins earlier this year.

Though not thought to be big NFL fans, the sisters did express a desire to expand their brand into other industries, with Serena pinpointing the fashion and acting industry in an interview just before Wimbledon.

By becoming part-owners of an NFL club will hopefully be used as a a way to continue promoting themselves and ‘expanding’ their brand.
