The All England Club and Tencent have extended their broadcast rights partnership, which will see Wimbledon remain on the Chinese network until 2027.

Through the renewal, which was facilitated by IMG, coverage of the iconic grass-court tennis championships be available on Tencent Video, Tencent Sports, WeChat, Tencent News, qq.com, and QQ, including live matches, replays, highlights, and additional content.

With Chinese players, including Zhang Zhizhen, Shang Juncheng, and Wang Xinyu, competing on the international stage, the agreement will provide expanded access to Wimbledon at a time of growing interest in the sport.

China has seen increased engagement with tennis following Zheng Qinwen’s gold medal in the women’s singles at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Jeff Han, VP of Tencent Online Video, said, “An increasing number of people in China are paying attention to and participating in tennis.

The cooperation between the All England Club and Tencent will help drive a new wave of tennis enthusiasm.

We hope that through the broadcast of Wimbledon and high-quality content, more users will be able to experience the charm of this century-old tournament up close.”
