Wimbledon To Host Davis Cup Play-off Tie

The LTA has named Wimbledon as the venue for Great Britain’s Davis Cup World
Group Play-Off tie against Croatia to be played this September.
The venue’s Number One Court will play host to the tie to be played between
21st and 23rd September.
The decision marks only the fourth time a Davis Cup tie has been played at
Wimbledon in the last 30 years.
The GB team clinched their place in the World Group Play-offs after beating
Holland 4-1 in the Euro Africa Zone Group One tie held at the NEC in Birmingham
in April.
The ticket box office will be open from the end of May with the winners of
the tie going on to play in the World Group in 2008.
