Wimbledon Serves Up Sky Extension
The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club (AELTC) has extended its broadcast agreement with Sky Italia.
Under terms of the new four-year deal, the pay-television channel Sky Sport and streaming platform NOW will both continue to broadcast Wimbledon in Italy until 2026.
The deal with Comcast-owned Sky Italia, financial details of which were not released, is the latest broadcast agreement that the Grand Slam tournament has concluded in recent weeks.
Earlier in the week (27th June), AELTC renewed its broadcast partnership for The Wimbledon Championships with Sport 24, the IMG-owned live sports channel for the airline and cruise line industries, for a further three years.
The 2022 edition of Wimbledon began 27th June and will conclude on 10th July with over £40m in prize money up for grabs.
