Long-term cricket specialist The Wisden Group has put its monthly magazine the
Wisden Cricketer up for sale as it concentrates fully on its online operations.

Wisden has decided to concentrate its future growth on its highly successful
website Cricinfo and the ball-tracking technology Hawk-Eye, which it acquired
from independent TV producer Tinopolis last year for £4.4m.

The group, which is owned by the Getty family, is also looking for a buyer
for magazine The Oldie but will retain its books business, including the Wisden
Cricketers’ Almanack, and Cricinfo magazine, published in India.

Wisden Cricketer was formed in 2003 from the merger of Wisden Cricket Monthly
and The Cricketer magazines and has a monthly circulation of 36,000.
