Puma has announced a new long-term partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC that will see the global Sportlifestyle brand become the official supplier and licensee partner of replica merchandise for the Championship Club.

The deal will kick off at the start of the 2013/14 season when Puma will supply the club with their technical and replica kit and training wear.

Wolves chief executive, Jex Moxey, commented: ‘Puma are renowned for their technical innovation and expertise in product design and having worked with them before, we know they are passionate about delivering great quality and service to the Club, team and supporters. We plan to reveal both the home and away kits before the end of the season and Puma’s product range will be available to purchase in our stores from Saturday, 27th April 2013 at our home fixture versus Burnley.’

Roger Harrison, marketing director, Puma UK, added: ‘Wolves is a good club at the heart of its community. When the opportunity arose to develop a technical partnership with Wolves, we were delighted to reach agreement with the club.  We are happy to be associated with the club, and look forward to working with them in delivering technical and training wear.’

The relationship between Puma and Wolves will be managed and delivered by Genesis Sports.

The partnership will feature up-to-date technology including Dry Cell technology, which enhances body performance by dragging moisture away from the body, improving air-flow and keeping the body at the ultimate performance temperature.

Meanwhile, fellow Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion has also announced a new multi-year partnership, with American Express.

The financial services company, which already holds the naming rights to the Seagulls’ American Express Community Stadium, will become the team’s new shirt sponsor from next season.
