Women in Football has partnered with film production company Shoot the Company ahead of a series of upcoming campaigns.
Shoot the Company will become the Official Content Partner for the network of women, men and non-binary people working in and around the football industry.
The deal will see the production company placed in charge of producing films for upcoming campaigns, the first of which will launch in September 2021.
Alongside lead partner Barclays, Women in Football will launch a new campaign to drive for gender equality in football this autumn, following on from the successful #WhatIf campaign that saw pledges from the likes of UEFA, The FA, the LMA, and Barclays Manager of the Year, Emma Hayes.
Women in Football says the question ‘What if?’ is no longer applicable, and will ask what organisations are actually doing to support women in the industry.
“We are delighted that Shoot the Company is joining us as our Official Content Partner,” said Jane Purdon, CEO of Women in Football.
“Impactful, creative and inspirational storytelling is what they do best, as their recent ‘Outraged’ film with UEFA demonstrates.
“Passionate about football and committed to driving change, they reflect what we stand for here at Women in Football. We are excited to work together and look forward to sharing the first of our films as part of our campaign launch in September.”
Sara Butler, Managing Director of Shoot the Company, said, “Women in Football has been the driving force behind so many wonderful campaigns forcing change in the industry. I have seen the incredible work that goes on behind the scenes and have been lucky enough to be inspired by the exciting future plans. Knowing that Shoot the Company is now a valuable partner and part of the journey is incredible. We look forward to working together to drive the change that the industry is calling for.”
Shoot the Company will be tasked with producing ‘captivating and informative’ films for Women in Football, and will expand their list of long-standing football-based partners that currently includes FIFA, UEFA, The FA and Barclays.
