World Netball has appointed Fiona Harold as the organisation‘s new CEO.

Harold joins from the Ladies European Tour, where she served as Commercial Director, and is the long term replacement for former CEO Clare Briegal.

Interim CEO Vicky Lowe had been overseeing netball’s global governing body since April, following Briegel’s departure.

Harold’s 15-year career in the sports industry includes various roles at IMG, Sport England, the FA, and Barclays.

In her new role, Harold will collaborate with the World Netball Board and Secretariat team in order to implement strategies that will drive sustainable and commercial success for netball’s global governing body.

“I am thrilled to be joining World Netball as their new CEO at a time when the organisation is in a key period of growth,” Harold said.

“I am looking forward to exploring new strategies to generate more commercial growth, building on the success of the most recent Netball World Cup 2023, and working with our Members and Regions to ensure we continue growing, playing and inspiring globally.”
