Women’s Professional Leagues Limited has appointed Two Circles as its exclusive sponsorship agency for the Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship.
The multi-year partnership runs until the end of the 2028/29 season and will see Two Circles lead sponsorship sales across both leagues.
WPLL, formed in 2024 and led by CEO Nikki Doucet, oversees the governance and commercial development of both the Barclays WSL and Barclays WC, alongside the Subway Women’s League Cup.
A key aspect of the agreement includes the creation of a new league-wide principal sleeve partner position, set to feature on the left sleeve of all 24 clubs in the WSL and WC next season – stated as a first for any men’s or women’s league in Europe. Two Circles will also identify and secure other partners to support the leagues’ development.
This appointment follows WPLL’s recent renewal of its title partnership with Barclays and broadcast partnerships with Sky Sports and BBC Sport. The Two Circles partnership forms part of WPLL’s stated ambition to build the most competitive and entertaining women’s club competition in the world.
Zarah Al-Kudcy, CRO, WPLL, said, “We are committed to creating a sustainable, world-class league that players and fans can be proud of. With their proven expertise in commercial strategy and a deep understanding of women’s sport, Two Circles is the perfect partner to help deliver on our vision.”
Gareth Balch, CEO & Co-Founder of Two Circles, added, “Women’s football is experiencing unprecedented growth, and WPLL has a bold ambition to elevate the game to new heights.
“We’re excited to bring brands into this movement, creating partnerships that will enhance the league’s commercial strength while ensuring long-term investment in the players, clubs, and fans who are driving this brilliant transformation.”
