Wrexham AFC have secured a new deal that designates Meta Quest as the League One club’s back of shirt sponsor.
The agreement covers both the men’s and women’s teams, and will run until the end of the 2025/26 season.
The software company also becomes the mixed reality partnership of the Welsh club.

Wrexham’s new-look shirts, featuring Meta Quest branding, debuted during the team’s league fixture against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday 22nd October.
Prior to kick-off, Wrexham players walked out onto the pitch wearing Meta Quest 3 VR headsets.
Currently placed second in League One, the Red Dragons are pursuing a third successive promotion in as many years, following the arrival of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as owners in 2020.
Earlier this year, Wrexham’s revenue soared to $13m (£10m) for the 2022/23 accounting period, marking a 75% increase on the previous year.
Wrexham’s popularity, particularly in the US, has grown exponentially in recent years, in part due the success of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ docuseries, which first premiered in 2022, and is in its third season.
“Meta Quest allows you to immerse yourself in new worlds and experiences and is all about connection – something that resonates with us at Wrexham AFC,” Reynolds and McElhenney said.
“Whether it’s our journey with this incredible club or the bond we share with our supporters, it’s about bringing people together.
“Plus, now we can finally live out our dreams of being on the pitch without pulling a hamstring.”
Shachar Scott, Vice President of Marketing at Meta Reality Labs, added, “The club has cultivated a passionate global fanbase not only through their impressive performances on the pitch but also through their authentic connection with audiences via Welcome to Wrexham.
“This season, as Wrexham AFC players take the field, we’re proud that fans everywhere will see Meta Quest displayed on their kits, uniting our shared commitment to connection and experience.”
