York Racecourse Hit By Fire

The £20m Ebor Stand at York racecourse has been seriously damaged after a fire
broke out in one of the hospitality suites.

The fire was reported on Wednesday night during a corporate hospitality
gathering at the track.

The area was evacuated without any injuries but it is unclear at this time
how much damage the fire has caused in the Ebor Stand which began at the rear of
the stand on the third and fourth floors.

Officials will be inspecting the damage today but don’t expect the fire to
disrupt the two-day horse racing meeting at York this weekend.
