Manchester United and England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has been announced as a new global ambassador for Beats by Dre.
The audio brand has launched Mainoo with a campaign video titled ‘Run the Track’, filmed exclusively in Manchester.
The video provides insight into Mainoo’s training regime, highlighting his dedication. It features rising British artist Nemzzz, also from Manchester, whose track ‘ABC’ soundtracks the piece. Mainoo is seen wearing Powerbeats Pro 2 headphones in the video, while Nemzzz wears Beats Studio Pro.
Beats has stated that the campaign reflects Mainoo’s connection to music and the pride he represents in his hometown. This partnership is the latest from Beats featuring athletes with global appeal. Mainoo joins a roster of global athletes partnering with Beats, including Lamine Yamal, who was announced this month, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, LeBron James, Qinwen Zheng and others who have featured in Beats campaigns this year.
Kobbie Mainoo said, “Ever since I was a kid, music has been a big part of my life! Nowadays, I have specific playlists to get me in the zone for different moments in my life, like staying locked in during training, or getting ready for a big game. I’ve always been a huge fan of Beats, so I’m really excited to be able to work together.”
Chris Thorne, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Product, Beats, said: “we are delighted to welcome him into the Beats family. The film is reflective of both Kobbie’s deep connection to music.”
