DAZN Drops New Ronaldo Film Trailer
Global sports and entertainment platform DAZN has released the trailer for The Phenomenon, a Zoom Sports and DAZN Studios production in association with Bristol-based video production agency Beyond Films.
The documentary film, which will be premiered in Madrid on 14th October, answers questions what happened before the 1998 World Cup Final; why he had that crazy haircut in 2002; how he fought back from being told he would never play again aged 24; and what it was like to reach such stratospheric fame so young – becoming the Michael Jordan of football and signing a lifetime deal with Nike.
Ronaldo said, “Making this documentary has been an emotional and cathartic experience. The documentary is a true and honest reflection of my life. It is from the heart: everything is on the table and no stone was left unturned. Looking back at my career, including the best moments of my life as well as the most difficult periods was amazing. I hope fans love watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
The Phenomenon is the first of DAZN Studios’ three World Cup commissions, to be followed by the release of Green Lions, the inspiring untold story of Cameroon’s 1990 FIFA World Cup heroes; Maradona 94: The Fall, an explosive look behind the scenes of one of the biggest controversies in World Cup history.
