Premier League football club Newcastle United has unveiled its revamped Training Centre after 12 months of reconstruction.
The club revealed the new look training ground in a video released on Wednesday in which its former striker Shola Ameobi took viewers on a tour around the new complex.
The North Tyneside HQ, which is based in Benton, has been renovated in time for the Magpies’ 2023/24 pre-season.

A new improved reception area to greet visitors and new signings
There’s also a facial recognition-style security system which opens the doors to the rest of the training ground for players.
An extended canteen and dining area
This includes updated drinks machines, fridges and fixtures and fittings around the room players can enjoy much better light and TV screens to catch up on latest training info and sporting news.
Eddie Howe’s war room
The club now have an improved presentation area to use for pre-game meetings and post-match debriefs.
Improved changing rooms
The new look changing rooms offers more space, better lighting and each player’s own locker and seat.
Hydrotherapy and plunge pools
This will aid player recovery after matches and help those with knocks get back in action quicker.
Cryotherapy unit
The ice baths are another way of providing quicker recovery after games.

Head tennis area and TEQ ball tables
There are four TEQ ball tables where players showcase their skills.
