Wembley Stadium Creates 100% Recyclable Pitch

Wembley Stadium has developed a first-of-it-kind process that enables the plastic from its pitch to be extracted and repurposed, making its pitch 100% recyclable.

In the below video, Karl Standley, Grounds Manager at Wembley Stadium, shares the outcome of the two-year initiative.

The process has also enabled the grounds team create a bench made entirely from plastic from the pitch, in memory of an employee who passed away last year.
