Westwood Takes Turkish Airlines Drone Golf Title

On the eve of the Turkish Airlines Open, Lee Westwood was crowned the first ever drone golf champion after taking to the 16th tee at the Regnum Carya Golf and Spa Resort in Antalya, Turkey, before maneuvering his drone around hazards and dropping a golf ball from the drone onto the green. Westwood defeated Masters champion Danny Willett and Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston for the Turkish Airlines ‘captain’s hat’.
The Turkish Airlines Open is the first of three tournaments in The Race to Dubai’s Final Series, with 78 players competing for a $7m prize fund and takes place between 3rd and 6th November.
