On the final day of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, HSBC will introduce a champions-selection playlist to contribute to the atmosphere at the culmination of the tournament.

Creating a new tradition, and a first for the European Tour, the reigning 2016 tournament champion, Rickie Fowler, has selected the songs which will provide the soundtrack accompanying players in the build-up to their final round. As winner of The Open Championship, of which HSBC is a Patron, Henrik Stenson has also been asked to contribute a song choice for his group.

HSBC has encouraged fans to line the path from the practice green to the first tee. Dubbed the ‘Champion’s Track’ music will accompany golfers to the first tee. With the tournament finely poised going into the final day, fans will get the chance to create and enjoy an atmosphere whilst they encourage the golfers to glory.

Earlier this week, Henrik Stenson was joined by Rickie Fowler, Ian Poulter and Dustin Johnson for a mixing masterclass with Radio DJ and broadcaster Reggie Yates. Throughout the week players’ pre-requested tracks have been played on the driving range, with choices ranging from George Michael, (requested by Thomas Bjorn), Justin Timberlake (Danny Willett), Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Thomas Pieters) and The Wurzles (Chris Wood).
