#MadeToMove ambassador and Unified World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua, kicked off the partnership between the Lucozade Sport and Our Parks, to get more than 400 people moving.

Before he heads into his own training camp, Joshua returned to the scene of his Olympic gold medal success, in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, to get others motivated with a 30-minute HIIT workout alongside the Our Parks founder, Born Barikor.

The partnership will see Lucozade Sport support Our Parks, who won Community Programme of the Year at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2017, to launch free fitness classes in more than 30 new locations, alongside daily workouts available online to those that sign-up.

Anthony Joshua commented on the morning’s session: “It has been amazing to workout alongside fans and people who have supported me over the years as part of the Lucozade Sport Made to Move campaign. Giving back and using my boxing journey to motivate people to move is what it is all about.”

James Young, head of partnerships, Lucozade Sport, added: “To have more than 400 people down here and working out with AJ this morning has been incredible – what a way to kick-start the partnership between Lucozade Sport and Our Parks, driving towards our goal to get a million people moving more by 2020.”

Born Barikor, founder of Our Parks commented: “The turn-out was epic and we were thrilled that our new partner, Lucozade Sport, brought Anthony Joshua down to kick-start an exciting new chapter for us. Our mission is to get 100,000 parkers exercising weekly by 2019 as we feel that everyone should have access to high quality exercise regardless of where they live or their circumstances.”

Our Parks was awarded Community Programme of the Year at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2017. Alex Coulson, executive director, Sport Industry Group, organisers of the BT Sport Industry Awards said: “Despite it being early stages for the programme at the time, the Judging Panel recognised the incredible growth of Our Parks with inclusive, free activity disrupting the industry standards and causing others in the space to reassess their proposition. It’s not surprising to see commercial success follow their recognition at the BT Sport Industry Awards.”
