Former ENGINE Sport leaders Tom Gladstone and Lisa Parfitt, and former Pitch Marketing Group Managing Director Adam Raincock have launched a new sport and entertainment marketing agency, The Space Between.
The trio say their collaboration blends the consistency of a core team with the power of a collective, and launches with a roster of clients including Vitality, Mitsubishi Motors and Principality Building Society.
Gladstone, Parfitt and Raincock first worked together at the sports marketing & sponsorship agency Synergy where they formed the core of the management team. The trio then forged separate paths overseeing periods of significant growth and success at Pitch Marketing Group and ENGINE Sport working with clients such as Beats by Dre, Santander, Hyundai and the ECB before making the decision to form an agency with their own vision.
According to the trio, the agency will challenge conventions and will be able to shift and adapt its teams to allow clients to get the people and skills they need, ‘not simply what the agency has’.
In a joint statement, Gladstone, Parfitt and Raincock said: “The Space Between is an agency for the now. We’re faster, more flexible and better value, but we also come with real pedigree having worked with some of the biggest brands in the world.
“We sit in the space between big network agencies and start-ups – giving clients the perfect mix of expertise and agility needed for today’s marketing industry. This agency is a result of years of experience, learnings and mistakes made in agencies and is created for clients interested in a more integrated way of working and a culture that supports the personal growth and freedom of our team.”
According to the trio, the name is inspired by a quote from Austrian neurologist, psychologist and Holocause survivor Viktor Frankl: ‘Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.’
