Sport nutrition brand, Maximuscle, has relaunched with a new raw ingredient protein range, supported by England and Saracens second-row forward, Maro Itoje.

Itoje joins a Maximuscle team including fellow England rugby stars Chris Robshaw and Anthony Watson, Wales’ winger George North, plus Aviva Premiership teams Northampton Saints and Harlequins – both of whom recently signed contract extensions with the supplement brand.

Maro Itoje’s signature also marks the unveiling of Maximuscle, the brand’s new range of raw ingredient protein powders including whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, BCAAs, micellar casine and creatine monohydrate.

Itoje said: “I am young and determined to succeed. My aim is to constantly look to improve all areas of my game through a combination of a strong training programme and premium nutrition and go from strength to strength. I’m confident I have the strongest team behind me and I’m delighted Maximuscle will be a part of that, providing me with market leading, innovative products and expert knowledge that can help me achieve my goals.”

Craig Percival, nutrition category marketing director, Maximuscle said: “Maro fits in perfectly with our brand – like us, he is excelling in his field and we are delighted to have Maro front the new Maximuscle range. He is the ultimate athlete, with the perfect combination of strength and skill, and we believe our new products and nutritional knowledge can help take his game to the next level.”

The brand’s MaxiNutrition range – launched in 2014 to cater for wider audiences – continues, with the original Maximuscle title relaunched for the brand’s new range of raw ingredient protein powders.
