Tiger Woods has announced an endorsement and equipment deal with TaylorMade.
Woods was forced to switch equipment after Nike decided to cease the manufacturing of clubs and balls to focus on their clothing business.
Under the multi-year deal Woods will exclusively use TaylorMade clubs, with the exception of a putter. As well as using TaylorMade clubs, he will lend his image to future advertising campaigns to promote the manufacturer.
TaylorMade is a subsidiary of adidas, but last year the brand announced it would be selling off the business. He will continue to have his apparel deal in place with Nike.
TaylorMade-adidas president and CEO David Abeles said: “We are thrilled that Tiger has chosen to play TaylorMade. His impact on the game of golf is undeniable and we are honoured to have him part of our team.”
Woods has already committed to using Bridgestone balls while he will stick with the Scotty Cameron putter that earned him the majority of his major successes.
