The FEVO Sport Industry Awards is committed to being as environmentally conscious as possible. As such, we have reviewed the steps we took at last year’s event and expanded on these to reflect the growing effort across the sport industry to put the planet first wherever possible.

REDUCED PAPER
Every year at the Awards we make a concerted effort to reduce paper waste throughout the event.
In 2023, we discontinued the annual SIA yearbook, and made the official shortlist digital, as well as introducing our e- tickets.
In 2024, we have taken the commitment further by discontinuing the physical A5 table plans and having a digital version available on the night.
REMINDER: Download your e-tickets before arriving at the event
TRAINER DROP OFF
Continuing an initiative from last year, we will once again putting on a ‘Trainer Drop Off’ system.
We are encouraging all of our awards guests to consider their transport options this year. By having a ‘Trainer Drop Off’ at the cloakroom, on arrival, we hope to make the option of walking to the awards easier.
REMINDER: If you’d like to use the Trainer Drop Off, please bring a bag for your shoes!

JUDGING PROCESS
For the first time ever, sustainability measures were considered as part of this year’s judging process.
Within the entry form, organisations were required to describe their sustainability policy or plan, as part of a wider effort to ensure the industry has the planet’s well-being front of mind.
The point of introducing these new questions is not to try and catch anyone out, but instead to encourage the industry to consider their actions and, for organisations who may not be completely buttoned up in this area, to start their journey towards sustainability.
SUSTAINABILITY COMPETITION
Earlier in the year, we invited members of the sport industry to describe their own sustainability journeys.
All the information gathered will ultimately help us to produce a white paper around the state of sustainability in the sport industry.
And, although the competition has now closed, you are still welcome to complete the form and broaden our understanding.

THE LONGEST WALK
For the first time this year, we will be introducing a ‘Longest Walk to the Awards’ competition.
The initiative aims to encourage our guests to walk to the Awards rather than using public transport, with the longest walk being awarded with a free bottle of champagne on the night!
So, get out your walking boots and compete with the sport industry for the chance to win an extra bottle of fizz to celebrate the evening!
Join the STRAVA EVENT now to be part of the competition.
SUSTAINABLY SOURCED FOOD
Every year we work with the Awards partner, Smart Group, to create a fully sustainable menu with locally sourced ingredients and minimum waste.
