Cardiff Met Sport TV is our unique, disruptive and pioneering multi-platform broadcast channel covering sport at Cardiff Met University. Our philosophy is “Local Stories. Global Impact”, which we achieve through weekly livestreams, podcasts, promos, features, short-form content for our social channels, long-form documentaries and regular news coverage. All content is filmed and produced by students from our Sport Broadcast MSc and Sport Media BSc degree courses. Our live streams regularly achieve over 16k views, and we produce over 50 a year. 80% of our post grads go on to work in industry with the likes of Sky, TNT, BBC, S4C, Whisper, Buzz16, Matchroom, Two Circles. No other UK HE provider has a sports channel dedicated to covering student sport with our level of production value. This includes initiatives like our Transatlantic Storytelling film which screened on ESPN3 in America across 1 millions homes. Taking BUCS Sport to a global audience.
