Sport Industry Group will host a breakfast event at its office on Thursday 12th March, bringing together industry professionals to celebrate neurodiversity within the workplace.
The event takes place ahead of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, marking Sport Industry Group’s first mental wellbeing event of 2026, as we continue our commitment to encouraging open and informed conversation around mental health and wellbeing across the sport industry.
This event will focus on lived experiences of neurodiversity in sport, exploring both the challenges and the opportunities that inclusive, supportive workplaces can create.
We are delighted to announce our first speaker, Claire Rafferty, English pundit and retired professional footballer. Claire made over 100 appearances for Chelsea in the FA Women’s Super League as a left-back and left winger, and also played for West Ham United. She represented England internationally on 18 occasions between 2010 and 2017 and competed for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Claire has been open about seeking an ADHD diagnosis and how that diagnosis affected both her personal life and professional career. Her journey in football is one of resilience and overcoming obstacles, offering powerful insight into neurodiversity within high-performance environments.
Further speakers will be announced shortly.
This event is open to anyone working in the sport industry who is interested in mental wellbeing and neurodiversity within the workplace.
