Ascot Racecourse has announced Total Performance Data (TPD) as its tracking data distribution partner in a deal which will see the pair make new data available to broadcasters, bookmakers and form websites around the world.

TPD currently provides live tracking data from 37 racecourses worldwide, and the agreement will see the company commercialise and broaden the reach of Ascot’s existing Flat tracking data while also making use of TPD’s tracking system so that Ascot’s jumps racing fixtures can offer time and stride data.

Ascot has been producing tracking data for a number of years as part of its partnership with Longines Swiss Timing, but as part of the deal with TPD, Sky Sports Racing and AtTheRaces.com were able to use the new partnership to show live split times and new post-race data for this year’s Royal Ascot.

“With racing taking place behind closed doors, it’s never been more important for the sport to offer the greatest possible insight and analysis for online or home viewing and TPD enable us to reach a wider audience with our Longines tracking data,” said Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer, Ascot.

“With 37 racecourses installed worldwide and some impressive commercial traction, we look forward to working with this innovative company.”

Will Duff Gordon, CEO, TPD, said: “The drama of racing at Ascot is already there for all to see but we will strive to lift the bonnet on the performance of these wonderful athletes by transmitting this content far and wide for the widest possible insight and betting engagement.
