Aston Villa and Adidas have launched the club’s new home kit for the 2024/25 Premier League season.

The launch video stars rock and roll icon Ozzy Osbourne, along with his former Black Sabbath band mate Geezer Butler, with the Birmingham band’s ‘Paranoid’ featuring as the campaign’s backing track.

During the video, Butler cuts off the music to play the theme music of the UEFA Champions League, celebrating Villa’s qualification for the 2024/25 edition of the elite European club football competition.

Former Villa striker and media personality Gabby Agbonlahor also features in the video.

The new kit is the first under the team’s recently signed multi-year partnership with the German sportswear giant, which is reportedly worth £17m annually.

The new shirts feature ‘AV 150’ text on the back, honouring the club’s 150th anniversary, and include the team’s new crest, which was revealed in May.

Villa stars Leon Bailey, left, and Rachel Daly, right, pictured in the newly designed home kit.

Villa’s new-look uniforms will first be on display on 27th July during the team’s preseason fixture against  Columbus Crew as part of the club’s USA preseason tour.

The Villans have signed a number of new deals in the build-up to next season, including a Betano principal sponsorship agreement, which is reported to be worth £20m a year, marking a record for the club.

Earlier this week, Villa revealed another new deal with international sports retailer JD Sports, which proceeded the kit launch.

“This new partnership between Adidas and Aston Villa marks a new chapter for both the brand and the club, paying perfect homage to the club’s 150th anniversary,” said Sam Handy, SVP of Product and Design at Adidas.

“We can’t wait to see the players and fans bring this special moment to life both on and off the pitch in the upcoming season and beyond.”

Villa and Adidas collaborated with London-based sports agency Homeground on the film.
