English Football League (EFL) Championship club Blackburn Rovers has announced a new associate partner programme with multinational sports and entertainment media group Eleven Sports Media.
According to a statement, the long-term partnership between the Lancashire club and the UK-headquartered company will be underpinned by Eleven Sports Media’s fan-engagement platforms.
Match-going fans at the club’s 31,000-capacity stadium Ewood Park will benefit from news, in-house content, social feeds and Opta-powered stats through Eleven’s StadiumTV and StatTV, which will also showcase the club’s partners to the fanbase.
Away from matchdays, StatZone will deliver second-screen experiences that will present sports data for supporters through bespoke social media content.
Paul Fielder, Rovers’ Head of Commercial, said, “We are delighted to partner with Eleven Sports Media, who are bringing their state-of-the-art technology and vast expertise to Ewood Park, allowing us to enhance the matchday experience for our supporters.
“This will take our digital screens and social media platforms to a new level and create an exciting opportunity for local business partners to engage and connect directly with our fanbase.
“The associate partner programme, which will be delivered by Eleven Sports Media on behalf of the club and the Blackburn business community, forms the foundation level and an integral part of our new 2022-23 season partnership programme, giving progressive local businesses, who wish to grow their brand, a chance to align with the club.
“As sponsors of the academy training wear, Eleven Sports Media’s investment into our youth set-up highlights their long-term commitment and desire to build a better and more sustainable future for the club.”
Matt Cairns, Eleven CEO and Founder, added, “We are very excited to be partnered with a club of Rovers’ rich history. Our partnership will inject new life into the club’s long-standing commitment to support its local business community, as well as bringing the best possible matchday experience for supporters at Ewood Park and those engaged with the club via social media.”
The new deal joins a flurry of fresh partnerships for Blackburn Rovers in recent days. The club has just announced two new agreements with health tourism company Clinic Center and social-enterprise coffee company Change Please.
