Brighton & Hove Albion have released a short film in partnership with Samaritans that shows two supporters checking in on each other.
The film has been published on the club’s official channels and has used a simple, conversational sequence to depict a pair of matchgoers arriving at the stadium, moving through pre-match routines, and then pausing for a private exchange in which one friend says they are “not coping” and the other asks directly whether they are all right.
The footage has included non-match audio of the pair expressing nerves, pretending to be fine, and then admitting distress, concluding with the friends separating after a supportive conversation.
We're proud to be supporting the #TogetherAgainstSuicide initiative alongside @Samaritans and the @PremierLeague. 💙🤍

Samaritans has provided the creative partnership and has been referenced in the film as the charity that offers a 24/7 helpline and support across the UK and Republic of Ireland for people experiencing suicidal thoughts or emotional crisis.
The film has been framed as part of wider efforts across football to encourage people to check in with friends, recognise signs of distress, and access support services.
The release has followed the Premier League’s recent launch of Together Against Suicide, a league-level initiative to support fans affected by suicide or suicidal thoughts.
Sport Industry Group have scheduled an event at its London offices on 9th October, the day before World Mental Health Day, to highlight mental health in sport and provide a platform for organisations to share best practice on supporter welfare.
The club has asked viewers to share the film and to use the resources signposted by Samaritans if they or someone they know needs help.
