The DP World Tour has agreed a two-year partnership with online casino brand OlyBet.
OlyBet, a subsidiary of the Estonia-based Olympic Entertainment Group AS, has become the official betting operator in Europe to the men’s professional golf tour in a deal that excludes the UK and Ireland.
According to a statement, Olybet will also work with the Tour to produce a range of content and provide coverage for fans at its casinos and sports bars, as well as on its OlyBet TV online streaming platform.
Corey Plummer, the Chairman and CEO of Olympic Entertainment Group and OlyBet Holdings, commented, “We are excited and privileged to announce a new European partnership between OlyBet and the DP World Tour. OlyBet will bring to sports fans more of the excitement and thrill of the moments that are so unique to golf and the world-class players filling DP World Tour tournaments.
“Sports fans can follow the world of professional golf online through OlyBet and OlyBet TV and in person through any one of our 150 casinos or any one of our 90 sports bars where they can eat, play, and watch golf.”
Currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons, the PGA European Tour will this year feature a minimum of 39 tournaments across 26 countries.
Max Hamilton, Consumer and Commercial Director of the DP World Tour, added, “We’re delighted to welcome OlyBet to our partnership community. As a market leader in the gaming industry across the region, they have aspirations to expand their reach through partnerships with major sports leagues and teams. At the DP World Tour, we look forward to developing with OlyBet a strong platform to further our fan engagement across Europe.”
Last month, the DP World Tour also announced a multi-year agreement with international banking group Standard Chartered.
