Premier League football club Fulham FC has partnered with sports technology company VIA Academy.
VIA Academy will become the Cottagers’ official virtual football academy partner for the next two years.
The company’s new mobile app, VIA Academy, will provide virtual access to football academies from three professional clubs, inviting young players to experience academy life.
Fulham FC’s ‘category one’ academy joins Queens Park Rangers and Peterborough United FC on VIA’s roster of partners, all allowing virtual access to their youth set ups.
There will also be opportunities for content creation and access to VIP insider knowledge and academy training, via the Fulham FC Academy players and coaches.
Kerrin Marcon of VIA Academy, said, “We are so proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking club such as Fulham FC. They place their people at the front and centre of all their decisions and are constantly seeking new ways to deliver real value to their players, coaches and loyal fanbase.
“Through VIA Academy they will be able to harness the power of technology to revolutionise their reach into global communities and serve the needs of many more players by sharing some of the powerful Fulham FC philosophy.”
Sean Cullen, Academy Manager of Fulham FC, added, “We are incredibly excited to be embarking on this new partnership with VIA. The VIA Academy will give young players the opportunity to develop their skills, whilst working with some of our most experienced coaches.
“This will also give players an opportunity to see what goes on behind closed doors at a Category 1 Football Academy like ours. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with VIA and supporting the development of an industry-leading football training programme.”
