BIG WIN FOR LITTLER
Luke Littler delivered an outstanding 7-3 victory over Michael van Gerwen to become the youngest ever PDC World Championship winner.
The 17-year-old was in unstoppable form as he raced into a 4-0 lead, and despite Van Gerwen getting three sets on the board, he never really threatened a comeback and was always in Littler’s rear mirror.
Ahead of the tournament, Littler signed a brand endorsement deal with KP Nuts.
MAHER MAKES BEARS DEBUT
Ilona Maher made her much-anticipated Bristol Bears debut off the bench but could not prevent Gloucester-Hartpury scoring a valuable win in the race for a top-four finish in Premiership Women’s Rugby.
In front of a club record crowd of 9,240 at Ashton Gate, the biggest attendance for a standalone game in the competition, American superstar Maher made her appearance with just over an hour played.

BATH TRIP UP LATE
Reigning Premiership champions Northampton Saints edged current leaders Bath 35-34, winning with the final kick of an incredible match at Franklin’s Gardens.
The result still leaves Bath with a six-point lead at the top of the Premiership table.

The team of Brad Hall, Taylor Lawrence, Arran Gulliver and Greg Cackett claimed victory with a time of combined time of one minute 48.07 seconds from their two runs, beating Germany by just under two tenths of a second.
AUSSIE WARM UP FOR ARYNA
World number one Aryna Sabalenka geared up for her Australian Open title defence with victory over Russian qualifier Polina Kudermetova in the final of the Brisbane International.
The 26-year-old from Belarus recovered from dropping her serve twice on her way to losing the opening set to come through 4-6 6-3 6-2 against the world number 107.
