Gallagher Premiership rugby union club Harlequins has agreed a new partnership with UK sports medicine company Fortius Clinic.

The London-based orthopaedic group has become an official club partner for the 2022/23 season across the club’s men’s and women’s teams.

As part of the deal, Harlequins members and affiliate clubs have preferential access to all aspects of Fortius services, including sports injuries, joint replacements, pain managements, imaging (MRI/X-ray/ultrasound) and many others.

Fortius will also be offering its expertise to affiliated club coaches to ensure ‘sports medicine and orthopaedic treatment is understood and implemented such that player welfare at all levels is a key focus’.

Laurie Dalrymple, Harlequins CEO, said, “Fortius Clinic has for some time now provided exemplary medical care and services to our playing department. It was an easy decision to formalize our partnership as we look to further solidify our relationship.”

Jim McAvoy, Fortius CEO, added, “Our pride and passion is providing world-class medical care and it has been a pleasure working with Harlequins in recent years.  We’re delighted to further extend our relationship and to offer access to our services to the club’s affiliate clubs and members.”

The latest deal for Harlequins follows last month’s partnership with Danish investment platform, Saxo.
