Ticketmaster Sport has been appointed as the Official Ticketing Provider for the Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025, and the Men’s Rugby World Cups in 2027 and 2029.
The agreement builds on the existing partnership for the Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025, which has already seen record ticket sales.
Ticketmaster will use its digital ticketing technology, including SafeTix and Smart Queue, to enhance the fan experience for the upcoming tournaments.
The Women’s tournament in 2025 will be hosted across eight cities, starting in Sunderland on 22nd August and culminating in the final at Twickenham on 27th September.
The Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 will be held in Australia, with the final in Sydney.
Gavin Taylor, Managing Director of Ticketmaster Australia, said, “We are proud to be partnering with World Rugby to deliver one of the biggest sports tournaments in the world.
“As a leader in ticketing world-class sporting events, the teams at Ticketmaster look forward to delivering a seamless experience for Rugby fans across the globe who will make their way to Australia for Men’s and Women’s World Cup events.”
Alan Gilpin, CEO of World Rugby, said, “Ticketmaster is playing a key role in supporting our mission to grow the global game by making the sport more accessible and more relevant to a wider and global audience.
“The collaboration has proven to be particularly successful in making Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 the most sought-after women’s sporting ticket of the year, and the biggest women’s rugby event ever.”
This news comes after Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster, recently became a Principal Partner of Chelsea for the rest of the 2024/25 season.
