TNT Sports has launched a powerful new marketing campaign that celebrates live sport’s incredible capacity to inspire.

Titled ‘Only Sport Can Do This’, the hero film features recent standout sporting moments shot from unusual angles, which are cut together with behind-the-scenes shots and pitchside footage of TNT Sports presenters, plus staged scenes of fans at home in various states of euphoria and despair.

A total of 17 sporting events, all of which the pay-tv broadcaster holds rights to, are covered within the hero film. These include the Premier League, MotoGP, UFC, Premiership Rugby, Premiership Women’s Rugby, heavyweight boxing, UEFA Champions League and the WNBA among others.

Created by London-based advertising agency Brothers & Sisters and directed by Pulse Films’ Ludovic Gontrand, the new campaign will span linear TV, VOD, OOH, and radio.

The soundtrack to the new film is the original score from the Oscar-winning movie Moonlight, composed by Nicholas Britell.

On the Brothers and Siters website, the agency wrote, ‘Hot off the back of the Euros, we reminded fans that sport has the power to viscerally move us in a way that no other form of entertainment can match. Our film evokes the way TNT Sports brings sports fans closer to the authentic emotion of sport in the most authentic way possible.’

Becky Diver Phillips, Vice President Marketing, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, said, “What better way to look forward to TNT Sports second season than reminding ourselves of the very best moments from last season, reminding us of the power of sport to evoke ecstasy or despair.  Only sport can do this every week.”

Andy Fowler, Executive Creative Director, Brothers & Sisters, added, “Many of the most wildly emotional moments of my life have been around live sport. That is its beauty and power. I hope the film makes you feel it too.”

In April 2024, the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned broadcaster inked a multi-year broadcast rights partnership with the WNBA covering the UK and Ireland.
