Barclays: Francis Benali & Southampton

After racking up over 300 appearances for Southampton FC in a 16 year career, one club man Francis Benali ran close to 1,000 miles in 21 consecutive days from St James’ Park in Newcastle to St Mary’s Stadium, passing by every single Barclays Premier League stadium in between. Raising money for Cancer Research UK, Franny was presented with the first Barclays ‘Spirit Award’ of the season for ‘Benali’s Big Run’.
