Ahead of the Emirates FA Cup Final between Crystal Palace and Manchester United, Emirates, lead partner of The Emirates FA Cup, gave lucky football fans the chance to walk out with their heroes onto the Wembley turf.
As part of a competition, 11 lucky boys and girls were invited to Wembley Stadium connected by EE, to undertake a special mascot training, helping them to become the best mascots the FA Cup Final has ever seen – Emirates style.
Former FA Cup winners David James and John Barnes, were on hand to lead the training programme, alongside leading British vocal and performance coach, CeCe Sammy, who taught the children how to belt out the national anthem.
As well as getting up close and personal with the Emirates FA Cup itself, David James showed the kids how best to warm up a goalkeeper for such a big match, while Emirates cabin crew were on hand to educate mascots around the etiquette of hand shaking and smiling. Former England legend, John Barnes, couldn’t resist some singing action himself and mascots were even treated to a special performance of one of his famous rap songs.
