UEFA has released the module to support national associations, clubs, leagues, schools and other stakeholders in promoting well-being through football.
The module, introduced on 30th June, includes a scientific white paper, podcast, short documentary and educational session.
These resources are available to help coaches, parents, teachers and staff better understand mental health and encourage more positive health behaviours among children and young people.
Take Care has been structured around six areas: physical activity, nutrition, mental health, digital addiction, substance awareness and road safety. Each module is being released gradually throughout 2025, with the mental health section becoming the latest to go live.
The initiative has aimed to provide football organisations across Europe with practical tools that can be implemented at grassroots and professional levels.
The materials have included real-life examples and testimonies from former players and mental health experts, including through a launch panel held online.
UEFA has positioned the Take Care programme within its wider work on health and education, including its Football Sustainability Strategy, which runs to 2030.
