Glentoran have been granted planning permission for the redevelopment of their stadium, the Oval. Belfast City Council’s planning committee approved the plans on 17 June 2025.

The plans, approved by Belfast City Council on 17 June 2025, include demolishing and replacing stands to increase seating to 4,000 and reconfiguring terracing for a total capacity of 6,000.

New turnstiles and floodlighting have also been approved. The scale of the project is dependent on funding from the £36 million Northern Ireland Football Fund, for which Glentoran have applied.

Paul Millar, Sporting Director, Glentoran, said, “It reinforces the strength of our submission to the NI Football Fund and underlines the serious intent behind our plans to deliver a modern stadium that meets the needs of players, supporters and the east Belfast community.”

Morgan Motor Company has entered into a title sponsorship agreement with Worcester Warriors for the 2025/26 season, placing its branding on the club’s playing kits and stadium infrastructure.

The partnership has included plans for joint experiential events aimed at both rugby fans and Morgan car owners. These events have been scheduled to take place at both the Morgan Experience Centre and Sixways Stadium. A limited merchandise range co-branded by Morgan and Worcester Warriors has also been confirmed for launch.

The agreement has been signed as Worcester Warriors prepare for their return to competitive rugby, following their removal from the English Premiership in 2022 due to financial insolvency. The club has since been restructured under new ownership and is working towards full reintegration into the RFU league system.

Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 has appointed The Bulb, part of Trivandi Group, as its sustainability consultancy.

The Bulb has been appointed to deliver a comprehensive programme that will weave environmental stewardship and social impact into every stage of planning and delivery for the multi-sport event.

Selina Donald, Founder of The Bulb, and Trivandi’s Director of Sustainability, said, “We are excited to support Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 in setting new standards for sustainable major event delivery.”

West Ham United have extended their multi-year partnership with Corpay, which has supported the club’s global payment operations for over seven years.

The agreement has formed part of the club’s global commercial strategy and financial operations during a period of international growth in the Premier League and European competitions.

Under the renewed deal, Corpay has continued to provide international payment services and currency risk management solutions to the club. Its branding has remained visible across the club’s TV-facing media inventory, including pitch-side perimeter boards, press conference backdrops, and stadium screens. Corpay has also maintained a digital presence across West Ham United’s online platforms.

The partnership has included collaboration with Club London and the Hammers Business Network, where Corpay has offered financial tools and hosted networking events aimed at businesses connected to the club.

The agreement has reflected a trend among top-tier football clubs to engage long-term financial service partners as they expand their international operations and commercial partnerships.
