Premiership Rugby and Gallagher have signed a three-year extension of their title partnership which will now run through the end of 2028.
The UK-based insurance firm has reinforced its commitment to English rugby union and its top-tier competition by committing to a new three-year deal, kicking off from the 2025/26 season.
Gallagher has held the official title sponsorship of Premiership Rugby since 2018, initially entering a reported £40m agreement, as reported by Rugby Pass, which was then renewed in 2021.
The terms of the new deal have not been disclosed.
The collaboration has been a successful one and has helped to boost attendances across the league with campaigns like ‘Right Here For Rugby’.
The insurance company has committed to supporting all levels of the sport, extending beyond its investment in the professional game.
Since the launch of their ‘Project Rugby’ initiative in 2017, underrepresented groups such as women, girls, ethnic minorities, and disabled children, have all received increased accessibility to rugby.
More than 100,000 young people across England have engaged in the sport through this initiative, as reflected in independent research showing that 84% of participants want to play more rugby.
Additionally, more than 150 grassroots clubs have benefited from an influx of new players.

Christopher Mead, Chief Marketing Officer at Gallagher, said, “In times of change trusted partnerships are fundamental to success, be that in sport or business, and we continue to support this fantastic sport with our unwavering commitment.
“At Gallagher we are committed to supporting the communities in which our clients live and work and we stand shoulder to shoulder with all rugby clubs and fans as we move into the next chapter.”
Michael Rea, CEO of Gallagher, added, “Our relationship over the past six seasons has helped to take the game of rugby to new viewers and participants, from all walks of life, something which we are very proud of.
“For our business, the partnership has helped us to expand the Gallagher name, interact with rugby at all levels of the game, and build a great bond with the rugby community.”
Through the latest extension, Gallagher will continue to receive prominent international brand exposure. Last season, Gallagher Premiership Rugby was broadcast in 164 territories, reaching more than 100 million fans globally.
The league also saw its fastest ever sell-out of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final, following the closest season on record.
