Wales became the first home nation to secure a quarter final spot in the Rugby World Cup after beating Australia, but England are not far behind following their demolition of Chile. We’ve looked back at the weekend’s highlights…


Wales became the first team to reach the 2023 World Cup quarter-finals as they celebrated a record 40-6 win over Australia in Lyon.

Gareth Anscombe kicked 23 points and tries from Gareth Davies, Nick Tompkins and Jac Morgan sealed a last-eight place with a game remaining in Pool C.

Australia managed just two penalties from Ben Donaldson.

Last week, Dove Men+Care released a new short film featuring players from all four home nations – Ellis Genge (England), Greig Laidlaw (Scotland), Johnny Sexton (Ireland) and Sam Warburton (Wales)..


Wing Henry Arundell scored five tries as England sliced apart Pool D’s weakest opposition to win 71-0.

This puts England in touching distance of qualification for the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.

Defender recently launched its Rugby World Cup 2023 campaign on the opening eve of the tournament with an event honouring Defender Trailblazers.


Red Bull’s Max Verstappen dominated the Japanese Grand Prix to take his 13th victory of the year and help his team clinch the constructors’ title.

The Dutchman fended off the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris at the first two corners and then motored away into a race of his own.

Norris passed Piastri after he had to back off for Verstappen’s defence and went on to secure second place.

Piastri followed him home in third for his first podium in his debut season.

Back in July, the F1 Academy has revealed that every Formula 1 team will represent one driver in next season, as well as their livery’s appearing on the car of the nominated driver.


Tottenham came from behind twice to secure a hard-earned point in the north London derby against Arsenal, with the match finishing 2-2.

The Gunners took the lead through a Cristian Romero own-goal before Son Heung-min equalised ahead of half-time.

A Bukayo Saka penalty and another Son goal followed in the second half as the points were shared.

Earlier this month, Arsenal announced a deal that saw Betway become the official global betting partner to its men’s team.


British heavyweight Joe Joyce was sensationally knocked out in the third round by Zhilei Zhang in London.

Joyce once again struggled against the power of ‘Big Bang’ Zhang before a thunderous counter right hook floored the Londoner at Wembley’s OVO Arena.

The result comes five months after 40-year-old Zhang’s shock sixth-round stoppage win over the previously undefeated Joyce.

The Chinese boxer retains the WBO ‘interim’ title and mandatory challenger status to unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
