Burnley FC has inked a two-year partnership that will see online betting platform 96.com become the club’s front of shirt partner.
From the 2024/25 season, 96’s logo will replace W88 on the front of the Clarets’ men’s and women’s team kits.
Burnley says the agreement is worth a ‘record commercial fee’, which will help the club invest into its infrastructure.
Burnley becomes the latest English club to sign a recent front of shirt partnership with a gambling company, following the likes of Wolves and Aston Villa. All three of these deals will expire at the end of the 2025/26 season, before the Premier League’s ban on betting shirt sponsors takes effect.
After being relegated to the EFL Championship at the end of the 2023/24 season, the deal’s two-year duration will help Burnley avoid any potential complications if they secure promotion back to the English top-tier.
Ahead of next season, Burnley has also secured a multi-year kit supplier deal with UK-based sports apparel brand Castore.
“96.com have invested a record commercial fee for Burnley FC while playing in the Championship.
“With their support, the club will be able to further invest in the club’s infrastructure and football ecosystem, creating the best possible product on and off the pitch.
“The premium sports and gaming entertainment platform are the latest of several global partners to join the Burnley FC family, highlighting the club’s commitment to becoming a global and innovative brand.”
The Clarets’ home kit for the upcoming campaign, featuring 96 branding, will be available for purchase online and in-store next month.
