Jon Rahm sealed his first Masters title, the Lionesses toppled Brazil, and Burnley secured a return to the Premier League in an enthralling weekend of sport. We’ve taken a look at the highlights…

Spain’s Jon Rahm was victorious at Augusta, winning his first Masters after taking over American Brooks Koepka on the final day.

Rahm carded a three-under 69 to finish on 12 under and win by four shots as Koepka, who led by two going into the final round, signed for a 75.

Koepka ended joint second with veteran Phil Mickelson, who shot a stunning seven-under 65 to finish eight under.

Last year, Sky Sports extended its broadcast deal with Augusta National Golf Club to retain exclusive Masters coverage in the UK.

England beat Brazil in a dramatic penalty shootout to win the first Women’s Finalissima and extend their unbeaten run to 30 games.

Chloe Kelly, who scored the winning goal in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley last year, netted the deciding spot-kick and immediately ran over to celebrate with fans in the stands.

The win was the Lionesses’ first match since the UK government announced that girls will be granted equal access to all school sports as part of a new package of measures.

Vincent Kompany’s Burnley secured promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt with victory over fourth-placed Middlesbrough.

Ashley Barnes and Connor Roberts got on the scoresheet in the 1-2 victory at the Riverside Stadium.

Last week, the English Football League (EFL) named Sky Sports as its preferred bidder for its next round of broadcast rights.

Exeter Chiefs produced their best performance of the season to beat Stormers and seal their place in the Heineken Champions Cup semi-finals with a 42-17 victory.

Back in December, pay-television sports channel broadcaster Premier Sports has agreed a two-season rights deal with European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) to broadcast the Heineken Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup in Southeast Asia.

Arsenal sacrificed a two-goal lead in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield as Roberto Firmino scored a late equaliser for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Despite dominating the first half the Reds fought back to claim the point, with late saves from Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale preventing it from becoming three.

The result saw Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League cut to six points.

The Gunners recently confirmed new partnerships with virtual experiences provider Jugo and consumer electronics brand TCL.

South Africa’s Henri Schoeman and Australia’s Sophie Linn were crowned 2023 Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift World Champions after a thrilling evening’s action in the London Aquatics Centre.

Schoeman’s second place behind a breakthrough performance from 23-year-old Italian Nicolo Strada was just enough to seal the overall title in the men’s race, while Linn took the final podium spot behind pre-race favourites Beth Potter and Cassandre Beaugrand to land the women’s crown.

Each race in the unique hybrid format of real life and esports was contested over three stages of a 200m swim, 4km bike and 1km run, with the first two stages the traditional format of swim, bike, run and the second stage flipped to start with the run and end on the swim.

Super League Triathlon (SLT) recently announced the appointment of Jo Sinclair as its new Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer.
