After another fantastic weekend of sport, we have taken a look back to bring you some of the highlights, with a nod to the latest updates from off the pitch…

Rugby union’s Autumn International fixtures continued over the weekend with victories for Italy, Scotland, New Zealand, Ireland and France. England fell to a disappointing loss at Twickenham to Argentina. 


All of the matches were available to UK viewers via Amazon Prime Video. Last week, the streaming service confirmed a partnership with Sage which sees the UK-based software company become a broadcast sponsor for series. The deal kicked off across the weekend’s matches.

Southampton FC fell to a 4-1 defeat against Newcastle United on Sunday. The result was the final nail in the coffin for manager Ralph Hasenhüttl who lost his job on Monday morning after nearly four years at the club.


Last week, the Saints announced blockchain-powered renewable energy company Ecowatt as the club’s new official training kit partner for the remainder of the 2022/2023 season.

Hosts England are through to the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals after a comprehensive 54-4 victory over Canada.

Sportsbreaks.com’s logo has been appearing on the team’s sleeve throughout the tournament after the sports travel company secured a sponsorship deal with the RFU in October.

With Las Vegas returning to the Formula 1 calendar in 2023, the city’s Caesars Palace held a launch event on Saturday to officially announce its arrival to the sport. 


Lewis Hamilton was in attendance and arrived in the red FIA Safety Car, days after announcing his most recent business venture. Hamilton was among several stars to invest in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s new sports, technology and entertainment company, TMRW Sports.

Arsenal defender William Saliba was awarded the Player of the Match in the Gunners’ victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, which saw them return to the top of the Premier League.


Last week, Saliba signed with London-based athlete marketing agency B-Engaged, along with one of his opponents at the weekend – England’s Reece James.

England survived a scare to reach the semi-finals of Men’s T20 World Cup with Ben Stokes leading a tight four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Sydney.


Broadcast rights of the tournament was secured by Sky Sports in October, with the BBC signing a deal for the audio commentary rights. The rightsholder, The International Cricket Council (ICC) will be supported by its production services partner, UK-based Sunset+Vine.
